Adult Sunday School
Bible Study and Fellowship (Occasional Jokes and Songs)
9:15 - 10:15 a.m. (or thereabouts)
Come and join us every Sunday, or just for the Sundays that your
schedule allows. We are happy to see you!
On December 4, we began a 6-week study called “Overcoming
Anxiety and Conflict,” by Jack Kuhatschek. How can we experience
the “peace which transcends all understanding?” How can you guard
your heart and mind from the stress of everyday life? This study helps
us discover how we can cope with anxiety, how we can feel safe in
God’s care, and how we can live at peace with others.
After the holidays, we will begin a study of Richard J. Foster’s classic book, “Celebration of Discipline.” Foster divides spiritual practices into 3 movements of the spirit: (1) inward Disciplines (meditation, prayer, fasting, study), (2) outward Disciplines (simplicity, solitude, submission, service) and (3) corporate Disciplines (confession, worship, guidance, celebration). We will study how the Disciplines can become part of our daily activities and help us in our spiritual growth.
